mao > Notice the difference in this picture of the lighting on the hotel, and the saturation of red in the water flowing down the side of the volcano. The difference was metering. The fire on the water is providing a lot of additional light in the foreground (which I'd metered off of in both pictures). In the previous picture, the hotel is actually over exposed, because I'd metered off the much darker volcano. But that gets you that nice red-water effect. Hence moving a couple degrees clockwise to get the Mirage out of the picture.
